Why trendy diets and standardized plans rarely stick — and how bio-individuality invites you to build habits that actually resonate with who you are.
For a long time, I was the classic overachiever. I did everything "by the book," believing that if I just followed the rules well enough, everything would be okay. But I eventually learned that the "book" wasn't written for me — it wasn't written for any specific individual.
I truly believe that the secret to a healthy life isn't hidden in a trendy diet or a specific workout plan. It's found in a concept called bio-individuality — the same principle that shapes your body's nutritional needs.
The trap of copying others
We are surrounded by wellness "hacks" and standardized programs. But your body, your history, and your daily rhythms are entirely your own. When we try to force ourselves into someone else's routine, we create friction. This is why so many habits feel like a chore and eventually fall away.
I've learned that for change to be sustainable, it has to resonate with who you are. If it doesn't speak to your essence, you'll always be fighting against yourself.
Movement as a whole-life approach
When I say "find what moves you," I'm looking at the big picture. In my view, movement is a "primary food." It's not just about the gym; it's about what shifts and flows in every part of your life:
- Physically: Finding the activity that makes you feel at home in your body, rather than punished by it.
- Mentally: Shifting the inner dialogue that keeps you stuck in old, limiting patterns.
- Spiritually: Discovering the daily rhythms that nourish your soul and give you energy — including the 90-minute wave beneath your day and your own 24-hour chronotype.
Making it stick
I believe that if you don't enjoy the journey, you won't stay on the path. Sustainability shouldn't require constant "tough love" or "discipline." When you find what truly moves you, the habit becomes a natural part of your day — something you do because you love how it makes you feel, not because you're trying to "fix" a problem.
Change can be hard, but it feels so much lighter when you are walking your own path instead of someone else's — and when you allow yourself to walk it slowly.
Bio-individuality isn't an exception to the method — it is the method. That's why I put it at the centre of body intelligence: no path is copied.
